These replicas are built around measurements taken from several instruments. Because the originals were built using equipment with looser tolerances that modern CNC machines and were finished by hand by different people they all vary a little from each other here and there. In effect each Les Paul from that era is unique, even to the pick up winds and neck carve profile. We try to work to the parameters of a number of those guitars. We hand select the right timbers that were used and source the right inlay and binding materials and hardware. The pickups are the choice of the client as a number of boutique pickup makers create excellent replicas.
